Frank Schmidt

Frank Schmidt has been the Chief Executive Officer of Onventis GmbH since February 1, 2013. The Economics graduate completed a degree in Business Administration (Foreign Trade, with a major in International Management) at Reutlingen University after his training to become an export merchant. Prior to his work at Onventis GmbH, Frank Schmidt was Managing Director at the international IT service provider Atos from 1997 to 2006.

As a member of the management of Atos Central Europe, he was responsible for the solution business and worked in senior management and sales functions in Germany and abroad during his 10-year career. Most recently, he was the board member responsible for sales and marketing at Heiler Software AG in Stuttgart as well as being responsible for strategic alliances.

Florian Ebert

Florian Ebert has worked for Onventis since 2010. After his Economics degree at Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (majors: Business Management and Controlling), Florian Ebert worked for many years as a consultant for a medium-sized consulting company. During this time, he was able to develop his practical skills in the areas of strategic corporate management, financial controlling, and corporate financing and gained extensive experience in a wide variety of sectors.

At the same time as working as a consultant, he also completed a master’s degree course in “Human Resources Development” at Kaiserslautern University of Technology, graduating with honors in May 2011. Since 2008, he has been a lecturer at Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences and teaches the subjects Bookkeeping and Accounting, Accounting II, and Financial Controlling.

Zoran Steko

Zoran Steko is responsible for Marketing and Business Development at Onventis since 2015. He has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of development, marketing, and sales of standard software. After his studies at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, the Economics graduate first worked for a few years in Business Development at Dresdner Bank AG before he went into IT. Among other things, he was a member of the management board at Heiler Software AG and on the board of OKS Software AG.

Heiko Rumpl

Heiko Rumpl has been Head of Consulting, Services & IT, since July 1, 2015. After his studies in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, Financing & Logistics, the e-business expert worked at the European MRO sales company Brammer for a total of 15 years starting in 1997.

Here, he held various management positions in which he designed and implemented the e-business skills of the corporate group from the start and also introduced a group-wide master data management system as well as redefined the e-commerce portfolio. In between, he was also a member of the management board of Heiler Software AG in Stuttgart for 3 years, responsible for the product management of the Heiler standard software products.

Klaus-Dieter-Laidig

Klaus-Dieter Laidig, a Business Management graduate, has been Managing Partner of Laidig Business Consulting GmbH since 1997 — a consulting company for the high-tech industry in Europe and the USA. From 1967 to 1997, Klaus-Dieter Laidig worked for Hewlett-Packard Europe. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was instrumentally involved in the development and expansion of the computer system business of Hewlett-Packard in Europe. From 1984 to 1997, he was CEO of Hewlett-Packard Germany. Klaus-Dieter Laidig is a member of several supervisory boards, advisory boards and boards of trustees in Germany and the USA. Since 2007, Klaus-Dieter Laidig has been honorary senator of the University of Stuttgart.

Dr-Willi-Muschinski

Prof. Dr. Willi Muschinski is a lecturer in procurement management at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach. The focuses of his teaching and research activities are cost management, material group management, risk management, and supplier management. He also advises and qualifies companies in questions of procurement management.

Wolfgang-Lux

Wolfgang Lux studied mathematics and physics at the University of Mainz before he began his professional career at IBM Deutschland GmbH in 1986. He was employed until 1995 in various activities, including in “Outsourcing of data processing”. This was also the title of his first book which he published with Springer Verlag in 1996 with his colleague Peter Schön. After one and a half years at VEBA AG, he moved to Metro AG in Düsseldorf in 1997, where he managed international IT for Metro Cash&Carry. From 1999 to 2001 he was CEO of Metro Gruppen Informatik GmbH, the IT subsidiary of Metro AG, and was responsible for finance, personnel, law, auditing, technology, and foreign subsidiaries. In December 2001, he became CEO of Media-Saturn Holding GmbH in Ingolstadt. There, he was responsible for IT, logistics, organization, and technical innovation. After his departure from the Media-Saturn Holding at the end of 2010, he wrote the book “Innovationen im Handel — Verpassen wir die Megatrends der Zukunft?” [Innovations in trade — are we missing the mega trends of the future?], which was published by Springer Gabler Verlag in mid-2012. Since this time he has been working as an independent consultant in trade, IT, and consumer goods. In addition to his project work, he also has various advisory mandates. From November 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014, Mr. Lux was also Director of Finance, Logistics, IT and Expansion for the Müller drugstore group in Ulm.

With its SME fund, the L-EA finances in particular company succession arrangements, activities to strengthen companies’ own equity, and the growth of established, medium-sized companies.
