The Dutch investment company Main Capital, together with the management team of Onventis GmbH, announced in mid-June that it had acquired all shares in the procurement provider, with Main Capital holding a majority after completion of the transaction.
Founded in 2000, the Stuttgart-based company Onventis with a workforce of more than 70 employees achieved a turnover of approx. 10 million euros.
The procurement solutions control strategic and operative procurement processes for direct and indirect materials in the German SME sector.
According to the company, around 350,000 users with around 35,000 suppliers worldwide process more than 5.5 billion euros in purchasing volume annually via the procurement network, which can link, automate and control procurement processes from sourcing to payment for both buyers and suppliers. Today, this happens in over 500 purchasing organizations from a wide variety of industries, such as Kühne + Nagel, Steigenberger, Techem, Berlin Hyp, Schott, Conrad, Deutz, Engie, Federal Mogul, Gea Group, Alba, Apcoa, Dekra, Hochland, Low & Bonar and Sunrise.
