Open, neutral and uncurated – which buyer would not want a platform that develops freely, dynamically and agile. The platform age has long begun. Those who close their minds to this trend have lost out in the market.

The central topic of networks in purchasing was clearly demonstrated at the recent BME symposium in Berlin under the motto “Added Value: Global Networks.”
“The trend in purchasing is clearly towards networks,” explains Frank Schmidt, managing partner of Onventis GmbH. “Classic on-premise SRM solutions have soon expired and are being replaced by networked e-procurement systems.”
